About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Contribute to the planning, analysis and concept design of traffic and transport solutions for road, active transport, and precinct projects
- Lead transport feasibility studies, transport planning strategies, and traffic impact assessments
- Provide trusted advice to clients such as transport agencies and private developers, including participation in workshops and presentations
- Coordinate traffic and transport inputs into multi-disciplinary projects, working closely with road design, civil, planning and digital teams
- Mentor junior traffic/transport engineers, helping them grow their technical capability and consulting skills
- Contribute to bids, client relationship development and new service offerings, including digital tools and automation in transport engineering workflows
Requirements
What you’ll need- Degree qualifications in civil / transport engineering or a related discipline
- Significant experience in traffic engineering and transport planning, ideally gained on Australian or New Zealand projects
- Sound knowledge of relevant standards and guidelines (e.g. Austroads, State government requirements, etc)
- Demonstrated experience leading traffic inputs on multi-disciplinary infrastructure projects, including client-facing delivery
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including report writing and the ability to explain complex technical issues clearly
- Chartered status (CPEng) or equivalent, or a clear pathway towards it
