About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead geotechnical investigations, analysis and design across a diverse portfolio of nationally significant transport and water infrastructure projects
- Deliver technically robust solutions in areas including foundations, settlement, slope stability, retaining structures and ground improvement
- Plan and oversee site investigations, interpret ground conditions and develop geotechnical models to inform engineering design
- Build trusted relationships with clients while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver successful project outcomes
- Lead teams of junior geologists and geotechnical engineers, helping grow capability across the team to deliver projects
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor of Engineering (Civil or Geotechnical Engineering)
- 8+ years of experience in geotechnical engineering, ideally in engineering consultancy
- Strong experience in geotechnical analysis and design in New Zealand, including settlement, foundations, slope stability, and retaining wall design
- Proven experience in planning and delivering site investigations, ground modelling, and geotechnical risks assessment
- Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) status, or a commitment to achieving chartership.
- A collaborative mindset and a passion for developing junior team members in a project environment
