About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead design and delivery of transmission (132kV+) and renewables infrastructure, managing multi-disciplinary teams across all disciplines including transmission lines, primary, secondary, and civil/structural works.
- Provide technical governance, quality assurance, and oversight of project planning, scheduling and design coordination.
- Interface with clients and stakeholders to ensure scope, time, cost and quality targets are achieved on complex high-voltage projects.
- Act as a trusted advisor, developing strong relationships with utilities, developers and contractors.
- Support bid preparation, pipeline planning, and proposal writing.
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to culture of inclusion, technical excellence and innovation.
Requirements
What you’ll need- 10+ years of experience in High Voltage (132kV+) substation or transmission design and/or project delivery.
- Strong background in design management, project engineering or interdisciplinary coordination.
- Knowledge of project management tools such as MS Project or CRM platforms.
- Client-centric mindset with excellent communication, commercial acumen and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience in renewables such as wind farms and BESS, or design and construct experience is high advantageous.
