About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Plan and lead complex ground investigations
- Interpret ground conditions and lead development of 3D models
- Provide ground engineering and ground risk advice
- Deliver technical reports and geotechnical assessments
- Support transport, water and infrastructure project delivery
- Mentor junior engineering geologists and field staff
- Coordinate with clients, contractors and multidisciplinary teams
- Contribute to proposals and wider project delivery activities
Requirements
What you’ll need- Degree in Geology or Engineering Geology
- 8+ years’ experience within engineering geology consulting and a minimum of 5 years’ experience working in Auckland
- Strong capability across investigations, interpretation and reporting
- Experience leading field programmes and mentoring others
- Experience with GIS, LeapFrog, Rocscience, gINT/OpenGround or similar
- Chartered status or working toward chartership
- NZ driver licence and strong HSE mindset
