About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Design and deliver advanced Substation Secondary systems for distribution and transmission networks (up to 500kV)
- Ensure strict adherence to quality assurance procedures and technical standards
- Lead and manage engineering projects within defined scopes, ensuring timely and efficient delivery
- Foster effective collaboration with multidisciplinary teams (civil, structural, primary electrical)
- Contribute to proposal development, including scope definition and cost estimation
- Engage with regional clients, providing expert technical advice and supporting business growth
- Mentor and develop junior engineers, enhancing our team's capabilities
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field (required)
- Experience in High Voltage Secondary Substation design and project delivery (highly desirable is previous experience with Transgrid projects)
- Proven ability to serve as a trusted technical advisor to clients
- Demonstrated capability in managing and providing technical leadership to design teams, including Global Delivery Centres
- Strong track record in managing design projects in compliance with quality management systems
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
