About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead and perform detailed design and technical for: Road design, drainage and stormwater management systems, earthworks and pavement structures
- Basic geotechnical investigations and interpretation
- Review and validate engineering calculations, drawings, and specifications to ensure design integrity and compliance with local and international standards.
- Provide technical oversight and mentoring to junior engineers
- Coordinate with internal disciplines, external consultants, and contractors to ensure effective design integration and constructability.
- Assist the Team Leader in: Project planning and resource scheduling, Progress tracking and reporting, Design review meetings and client presentations
- Support the preparation of technical reports, proposals, tender documentation, and cost estimates.
- Ensure all designs comply with relevant codes, regulations, and sustainability requirements.
- Conduct site visits and inspections as required.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering ( Master’s preferred)
- Minimum 10 years of professional experience in civil infrastructure projects, including at least 3 years in a senior or lead role
- Registered Professional Engineer licensure
- Proven experience in the design of roads, drainage, utilities, and related civil systems.
- Strong knowledge of geotechnical principles and their application to civil projects.
- Proficiency in civil engineering software such as Civil 3D, AutoCAD, MX Road, StormCAD, or similar tools.
- Strong communication, coordination, and leadership skills.
- Good English communication skills and computer literate.
