About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Lead site investigations including drilling, CPTs, geophysics, test pits and mapping
Coordinate field activities, contractors and factual data collection
Interpret ground conditions and develop engineering geological models
Work alongside Technical Directors and other senior staff to assess, evaluate and manage ground risk.
Work collaboratively with clients and multi-disciplinary project teams
Prepare technical reports and contribute to geotechnical assessments
Support construction monitoring and design activities
Support junior staff and safe project delivery

Requirements

What you’ll need

Degree in Geology or Engineering Geology
Around 4–7 years’ experience within engineering geology consulting with a minimum of 3 years' experience in Auckland
Strong geomorphic mapping and geological logging capability
Experience with GIS, LeapFrog, Rocscience, gINT/OpenGround or similar
Engineering geological interpretation and reporting skills
Full NZ driver’s licence and strong HSE mindset.
Chartered status or working toward chartership viewed favourably
