About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead site investigations including drilling, CPTs, geophysics, test pits and mapping
  • Coordinate field activities, contractors and factual data collection
  • Interpret ground conditions and develop engineering geological models
  • Work alongside Technical Directors and other senior staff to assess, evaluate and manage ground risk.
  • Work collaboratively with clients and multi-disciplinary project teams
  • Prepare technical reports and contribute to geotechnical assessments
  • Support construction monitoring and design activities
  • Support junior staff and safe project delivery

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Degree in Geology or Engineering Geology
  • Around 4–7 years’ experience within engineering geology consulting with a minimum of 3 years' experience in Auckland
  • Strong geomorphic mapping and geological logging capability
  • Experience with GIS, LeapFrog, Rocscience, gINT/OpenGround or similar
  • Engineering geological interpretation and reporting skills
  • Full NZ driver’s licence and strong HSE mindset.
  • Chartered status or working toward chartership viewed favourably
