About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead site investigations including drilling, CPTs, geophysics, test pits and mapping
- Coordinate field activities, contractors and factual data collection
- Interpret ground conditions and develop engineering geological models
- Work alongside Technical Directors and other senior staff to assess, evaluate and manage ground risk.
- Work collaboratively with clients and multi-disciplinary project teams
- Prepare technical reports and contribute to geotechnical assessments
- Support construction monitoring and design activities
- Support junior staff and safe project delivery
Requirements
What you’ll need- Degree in Geology or Engineering Geology
- Around 4–7 years’ experience within engineering geology consulting with a minimum of 3 years' experience in Auckland
- Strong geomorphic mapping and geological logging capability
- Experience with GIS, LeapFrog, Rocscience, gINT/OpenGround or similar
- Engineering geological interpretation and reporting skills
- Full NZ driver’s licence and strong HSE mindset.
- Chartered status or working toward chartership viewed favourably
