About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Manage diverse solar PV and Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) projects throughout development and delivery for utility-scale developers in New Zealand
- Lead or contribute to owner's engineering, due diligence, lenders technical advisory and design services
- Take ownership of projects post-onboarding, ensuring client satisfaction under your autonomy
- Demonstrate strong management and communication skills while collaborating with clients and internal specialists
- Develop strong relationships with both clients and internal specialists to deliver successful project outcomes based on project needs and availability
Requirements
What you’ll need- Ideally a minimum of 6 years’ experience in the power industry and 3 years in the commercial or utility-scale solar PV sector
- Strong understanding of the project development and delivery lifecycle
- Experience with grid connection of generation plants and interaction with Transpower and the System Operator
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering preferred, with other engineering disciplines (Mechanical, Civil) considered
- Familiarity with industry tools such as PVsyst, AutoCAD, PVcase, Rated Power, or SAM by NREL
- Extensive familiarity with the Microsoft environment
- Familiarity with CRM/ERM platforms like MS Dynamics is an advantage
- Valid Class 1 New Zealand driver's license and full flexibility to travel across New Zealand and APAC
