About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Site supervision of ground investigations: geotechnical drilling, cone penetration tests, test pits
- Manage lab schedules, sample custody and AGS-compliant data management
- Develop engineering geological models
- Report preparation and geotechnical analysis
- Assist earthworks/design support and construction monitoring
- Communicate clearly with contractors, clients and the team
Requirements
What you’ll need- Degree in Geology/Engineering Geology
- 2–5 years’ experience
- Ground investigations experience
- Familiarity with GIS applications, LeapFrog, Rocscience, gINT/OpenGround (or similar)
- HSE mindset; NZ licence
- Local Christchurch/Canterbury geology exposure or strong regional understanding
