About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead the mechanical design and delivery of water infrastructure projects
- Provide technical oversight across pumps, valves, pipelines and treatment assets
- Support a range of projects across the full project lifecycle, from concept design through to detailed design and Design & Construct (D&C) delivery
- Mentor and develop junior and mid-level engineers
- Work closely with clients, building strong trusted advisor relationships
- Contribute to bids, proposals and business development
- Collaborate across interstate teams (SA, VIC, QLD, WA) to deliver integrated solutions
- Drive technical excellence and continuously improve delivery standards
Requirements
What you’ll need- 8+ years’ experience in mechanical engineering
- Strong background in water infrastructure
- Pumps, valves and mechanical systems expertise
- Treatment and supply infrastructure knowledge
- Experience in a consulting or project delivery environment
- Proven ability to lead or mentor engineers
- Experience working on multidisciplinary projects
- Chartered Engineer (CPEng) / RPEV RPEQ highly regarded
- Established client networks or industry relationships beneficial
