About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead the mechanical design and delivery of water infrastructure projects
  • Provide technical oversight across pumps, valves, pipelines and treatment assets
  • Support a range of projects across the full project lifecycle, from concept design through to detailed design and Design & Construct (D&C) delivery
  • Mentor and develop junior and mid-level engineers
  • Work closely with clients, building strong trusted advisor relationships
  • Contribute to bids, proposals and business development
  • Collaborate across interstate teams (SA, VIC, QLD, WA) to deliver integrated solutions
  • Drive technical excellence and continuously improve delivery standards

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 8+ years’ experience in mechanical engineering
  • Strong background in water infrastructure
  • Pumps, valves and mechanical systems expertise
  • Treatment and supply infrastructure knowledge
  • Experience in a consulting or project delivery environment
  • Proven ability to lead or mentor engineers
  • Experience working on multidisciplinary projects
  • Chartered Engineer (CPEng) / RPEV RPEQ highly regarded
  • Established client networks or industry relationships beneficial
