About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead and deliver land development and civil infrastructure projects across design and construction phases
  • Manage and oversee the preparation of civil engineering designs, drawings and documentation
  • Provide technical leadership across projects including industrial subdivisions, roads, drainage, earthworks, municipal works, water and sewer reticulation and civil site works
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, authorities, sub‑consultants and contractors
  • Mentor and develop junior engineers, supporting technical excellence and professional growth
  • Work collaboratively within a diverse, fast‑paced, multidisciplinary environment
  • Ensure designs comply with Australian and Victorian standards, council requirements and authority approvals

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Tertiary qualifications in Civil Engineering
  • Part A & B - Water Supply and Sewer Design Assurance Scheme – Accreditation Key Personnel (MRWA)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Skills in the design and documentation of civil infrastructure to Australian and Victorian standards
  • Demonstrated experience liaising with clients, sub-consultants and contractors
  • Design skills with a background in roads, carparks, earthworks, drainage, water and sewer utility services designs, pavement design
  • Advanced knowledge of industry design software, 12D and AutoCAD (preferred)
  • Experience in the construction phase of civil infrastructure projects
  • Thorough understanding of Council, Service Authority and DTP requirements
