About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Leading and delivering designs across HV transmission line projects (33kV all the way through to 500kV).
- Supporting bids and tenders across a spectrum of contracting models – from direct utility maintenance packages to complex D&C of Renewable Energy Zones.
- Applying your knowledge of Australian Standards (AS/NZS 1170.2, AS/NZS 7000, AS 4100), PLS software suite (PLS-CADD, TOWER & POLE), and HV design.
- Collaborating with state utilities, contractors, joint ventures, and alliances to deliver projects that accelerate Australia’s renewable energy future.
- Mentoring early-career engineers and contributing to the strength of the team.
Requirements
What you’ll need- A degree in Civil/Structural, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering (or equivalent).
- 4+ years’ experience in transmission line engineering, with hands-on design delivery.
- Proficiency with PLS-CADD (and ideally PLS-POLE and PLS-TOWER).
- Strong collaboration and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work across diverse teams and clients.
