About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide training services for Quick Start projects
  • Learn and support all areas of departmental operations under broad supervision of the Director
  • Assist with training operations
  • Perform training needs assessments
  • Develop training materials and deliver instruction
  • Design and build training devices
  • Work with the Director and staff to evaluate and standardize business processes and tools
  • Assist the Director with special projects
  • Prepare operations reports
  • Conduct training research
  • Travel extensively within northern Georgia and occasionally outside Georgia and the US

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree and one (1) year of experience planning, developing, delivering or evaluating training programs or academic instruction, or four (4) years of experience delivering training including developing instructional materials and lesson plans
  • Associates degree in a related field and three (3) years of related work experience
  • Experience may substitute for the degree on a year-for-year basis
  • Preferred: Bachelor’s or advanced degree in management, instructional technology, industrial technologies or a related field and 3 years’ experience in a manufacturing training environment
  • Preferred experience with instructional design methodology for manufacturing and large-scale distribution process training
  • Preferred experience conducting training analysis and task analysis
  • Preferred data entry experience, including updating schedules within an interactive management system
  • Preferred experience configuring training material packages and presenting technical training classes
  • Preferred experience designing and building high-functioning training simulators and devices
  • Preferred experience with operation of multi-site training centers
  • Preferred experience working with training information management systems
