About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Assists faculty members with classroom instruction, exams, record keeping, adherence to safety procedures, tracking attendance and other miscellaneous tasks related to instruction.
- Assists faculty with the supervision and mentoring of students during scheduled lab sessions or tutoring sessions, as needed.
- Assists faculty with maintaining a clean and safe lab environment.
- Performs routine maintenance on equipment, as instructed.
- Assists with inventory maintenance and requisition of supplies.
- Obtains materials needed for classes, including texts and other materials.
- Completes ALL required employee trainings.
- Meets with students, staff members, supervisors, as needed.
- Assists with special projects or initiatives, as needed.
- Performs other work-related duties as assigned by program chair.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Satisfactory completion of the following courses: COFC 1080, WELD 1005, WELD 1015, WELD 1025, and WELD 1035.
- Six (6) month to one (1) year of related work experience in a welding, maintenance, or manufacturing environment or equivalent experience.
- Completion of the Shielded Metal Arc Welding certificate, Gas Metal Arc Welding certificate, Gas Tungsten Welding certificate, or the Welding Technology diploma.
