About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- deliver current, industry-relevant instruction
- effectively utilize instructional resources
- support student success and workforce readiness through the teaching and learning process
- implement, revise, and evaluate assigned program coursework and instructional materials in alignment with state standards, accreditation requirements, and the college’s approved curriculum
- develop course syllabi and lesson plans and deliver instruction using creative and innovative teaching methods and instructional technologies within the approved instructional time
- evaluate and document student progress, performance, knowledge, and skill attainment and provide timely feedback in accordance with college and state guidelines
- coordinate and supervise experiential learning components for the program area, ensuring required documentation is accurate and current
- maintain accurate student attendance records
Requirements
What you’ll need- A Bachelor’s Degree in Emergency Medicine from an accredited college or university, or an Associate Degree in Emergency Medicine from an accredited college or university and demonstrated competencies in Emergency Medicine
- Possess and maintain the following credentials: EMS Instructor – Georgia Office of EMS and Healthcare Provider BLS
- Three years of relevant experience within the last seven years
- EMS Instructor/Coordinator AEMT – Georgia Office of EMS
- Prior teaching experience
- Experience with online learning platforms
