About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Prepare monthly management accounts for designated group entities, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timely delivery.
- Conduct detailed reconciliations of profit and loss and balance sheet accounts on a monthly basis.
- Complete and submit VAT returns, including partial exemption calculations where required.
- Maintain and strengthen financial control processes across the business.
- Support acquisition activities through financial due diligence analysis and integration planning.
- Develop and monitor cash flow forecasts, proactively identifying and reporting potential risks.
- Support the year-end audit process, including preparation of audit packs and liaison with auditors.
- Contribute to the annual budgeting and forecasting process through financial analysis and reporting.
- Prepare financial reports and analysis for senior leadership as required.
- Assist with finance projects, process improvements, and other ad-hoc duties as required.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Qualified Accountant (ACCA, ACA, CIMA or equivalent)
- Proven experience in a Management Accountant or similar finance role
- Strong technical accounting and reconciliation skills
- Ability to communicate complex financial information clearly to senior stakeholders and auditors
- Excellent organisational skills with strong attention to detail
- Strong planning and time management capabilities
- Ability to manage changing priorities and work effectively under pressure
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
