  • - Java 17 / 21 LTS (records, sealed classes, pattern matching) - Expert
  • - Spring Boot 3.x (auto-config, actuators, profiles, DI) - Expert
  • - Spring Security, OAuth2 / OIDC - Advanced
  • - Spring Data JPA / Hibernate (query tuning, N+1 awareness) - Advanced
  • - Reactive Programming — WebFlux / Project Reactor - Proficient
  • - REST API & OpenAPI 3.x design - Expert
  • - Unit & Integration Testing — JUnit 5, Mockito, TestContainers - Expert (TDD required)
  • - AWS — ECS/EKS, Lambda, SQS/SNS, RDS Aurora, DynamoDB - Advanced
  • - Amazon Connect / Contact Flows (Lambda handlers, Lex bots) - Preferred
  • - Kafka / Amazon MSK (event-driven microservices) - Proficient
  • - CI/CD — trunk-based dev, GitHub Actions or equivalent - Advanced
  • - Agentic AI tooling — LLM APIs, tool-use loops, LangChain4j - Preferred / Will train
  • EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
  • - 5+ years professional Java in production systems
  • - 2+ years Agile; XP experience strongly preferred
  • - 1+ year AWS cloud-native (Lambda, ECS, SQS, Aurora)
  • - Demonstrable TDD — evidenced in GitHub, not self-attested
  • - Event-driven microservices architecture
  • EXPERIENCE DIFFERENTIATORS INCLUDE:
  • - Amazon Connect integration built end-to-end
  • - Agentic AI or LLM workflow implementation
  • - Insurance, FinServ, or regulated industry background
  • - Open-source contributions (Java ecosystem)
  • - Systems scaled to 100k+ concurrent sessions

  • - Gives and receives code review feedback constructively
  • - Thinks out loud; surfaces blockers early
