About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Help expand the internal Cyber Defense Center and its market-facing services in the areas of attack detection and Security Operations Center operations
Identify and prioritize cybersecurity incidents and handle them in accordance with defined runbooks
Proactively investigate and detect security events
Improve the security resilience of IT services
Analyze security incidents and preserve evidence
Define, coordinate, and sustainably document measures
Advise internal colleagues on reducing attack surfaces and attack vectors

Requirements

What you’ll need

Degree in IT security, computer science, information technology, business informatics, or a related field, plus several years of relevant professional experience (2–6 years) in IT security, or an equivalent qualification
Very strong knowledge of incident response in on-premises and cloud architectures
Experience in SOC operations, particularly with Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) and Security Orchestration, Automation and Response (SOAR) systems
Fluent German, at least C1 level
Good English, B2 level
Willingness and availability to work shifts and participate in on-call rotations
Ability to provide a certificate of good conduct
Fast learner with strong independent and analytical thinking and decision-making skills
Targeted communication with technical specialists and management
