About the role
- You accompany the complete software lifecycle of banking applications and are responsible for the development and further enhancement of backend applications.
- You create technical concepts and implement them in close collaboration with Product Owners and System Architects.
- Using modern programming languages, state-of-the-art database technologies and common frameworks, you develop modular, clean code and optimize it through refactoring.
- You participate in regular code reviews and exchange ideas with your colleagues in the development team.
- You conduct code reviews, share your knowledge with the team and take responsibility for unit tests, bug fixing, maintenance and last-level support.
Requirements
- You hold a university degree in (business) computer science with several years of relevant professional experience, or vocational training in IT with many years of relevant professional experience, or an equivalent qualification.
- You have solid knowledge of software design, container technologies and backend development with Java EE, and you bring practical experience in batch processing and, ideally, with JMS, IBM MQ and DB2.
- You have experience working with agile methods (e.g. Scrum).
- You possess business-fluent German (at least C1) and business-fluent English (C1).
- You work independently, with a focus on quality, are motivated to continue developing professionally and demonstrate strong problem-solving skills.
- You have pronounced analytical thinking and enjoy understanding and optimizing complex processes.
