About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead complex, multi-workstream initiatives from discovery through implementation and post-launch stabilization
- Translate business objectives into actionable project plans, balancing scope, priorities, timelines, and organizational readiness
- Develop and maintain project plans, governance structures, and communication plans
- Identify risks, dependencies, and opportunities while presenting practical recommendations
- Evaluate processes and recommend scalable improvements supporting business growth
- Coordinate executive sponsors, business leaders, vendors, and clients throughout project execution
- Facilitate executive meetings, steering committees, and cross-functional working sessions
- Present project status, risks, recommendations, and business impacts to senior leadership
- Influence stakeholders across multiple business areas without direct authority
- Manage multiple concurrent initiatives with competing priorities
- Establish project governance, milestones, success metrics, and reporting
- Monitor budgets, timelines, and resource allocations
- Maintain project documentation, risks, issues, and decisions throughout the project lifecycle
- Drive accountability across project teams
- Foster collaboration and accountability across cross-functional project teams
- Share project management knowledge and contribute to the Strategic Initiatives department
- Apply and promote project management best practices across assigned initiatives
- Coordinate stakeholders and project contributors through clear communication, follow-up, and collaboration
Requirements
What you’ll need- 6+ years leading complex cross-functional projects, preferably within staffing, contingent workforce, HR technology, payroll, or professional services
- Experience managing cross-functional initiatives involving multiple business areas and executive stakeholders
- Exceptional executive communication and presentation skills
- Proven ability to influence decision-making without direct authority
- Strong business acumen and ability to understand operational processes and identify improvement opportunities
- Experience supporting organizational change, competing priorities, and ambiguous environments
- Excellent problem-solving, facilitation, and strategic planning skills
- Experience with project management software/tools such as Microsoft Suite, Jira, and Visio
- Ability to sit for extended periods of time
- Ability to commute to and work onsite in the Holmdel, NJ office on a hybrid schedule
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience
