About the role

  • Develop and maintain Java microservices ( Spring Boot ) integrating with databases, APIs, and Kafka/AMQ.
  • Containerize applications ( Docker/S2I ) and optimize images for performance and security.
  • Deploy and operate services on OpenShift (deployments, routes, services, config/secrets, operators).
  • Build CI/CD using Tekton and manage GitOps flows via Argo CD.
  • Implement observability: logs, metrics, alerts ( Prometheus, Grafana, Loki/EFK ).
  • Automate tasks using Bash, PowerShell, Python, oc CLI, Helm/Kustomize.
  • Apply DevSecOps practices: image & dependency scanning (Trivy, Clair, Snyk), RBAC, secure coding.
  • Tune JVM and troubleshoot performance issues in containerized workloads.

Requirements

  • Strong Java & Spring Boot experience.
  • Practical experience with OpenShift and containerization.
  • CI/CD knowledge (Tekton, Maven/Gradle, GitOps/Argo CD).
  • Familiarity with observability tools and cloud‑native troubleshooting.
  • Understanding of DevSecOps and automation scripting.
  • Java Certifications: Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) – Java SE 11 or 17, Oracle Certified Associate (OCA) – Java SE.
  • Cloud‑Native & Container Certifications: Red Hat OpenShift Developer (DO288), Red Hat Certified Specialist in OpenShift Administration (EX280), Kubernetes certifications: CKA / CKAD / CKS.
