About the role

  • Designing, developing, maintaining, and optimizing the entire data infrastructure.
  • Translating business requirements into technical data models (conceptual, logical, and physical).
  • Defining and overseeing data modeling standards (ERD, SCD2, star/snowflake schema).
  • Defining and enforcing policies for data governance, security, integrity, and compliance within the DWH environment.
  • Designing and implementing robust and scalable database systems, data warehouses (DWH), and data pipelines.
  • Designing and implementing ETL/ELT processes in Apache NiFi, including performance monitoring and optimization.
  • Evaluating and recommending new technologies and tools for data storage, processing, and analytics.
  • Providing technical mentorship to junior data professionals and collaborating closely with cross-functional teams.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of relevant professional experience in data‑warehouse architecture or in a comparable senior data‑focused role.
  • Strong analytical skills, excellent communication abilities, and the capacity to lead initiatives.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of database technologies (SQL/NoSQL) and data modeling.
  • Advanced expertise in PostgreSQL and SQL performance optimization.
  • Experience with Apache NiFi or other ETL/ELT tools.
  • Knowledge of Power BI and an understanding of data‑modeling principles for reporting.
  • Experience in managing a small team of analysts and engineers.
  • Familiarity with Data Governance, Data Quality, and Master Data Management concepts.
  • Experience with version control and CI/CD for data pipelines (e.g., GitLab) — an advantage.
  • Hands‑on experience with data monitoring and automated data testing — an advantage.
  • Knowledge of cloud‑based DWH platforms — an advantage.
