About the role
- Analyze requirements and business scenarios/user stories, providing feedback to Business Analysts and requesting clarifications on gaps or discrepancies
- Create test scenarios and test cases, including test data and expected results, based on documentation available in German
- Map test cases to project requirements
- Execute designed tests, record actual results, and compare them to expected results
- Maintain test scenarios during process changes
- Log defects during testing and perform root cause analysis when needed in cooperation with the development team and BAs, including participation in triage meetings
- Re-test defect fixes
- Support users during UAT
- Participate in meetings with end customers and present solutions (demos)
Requirements
- Effective communication in German (B2/C1)
- English minimum B1
- At least 2 years of documented experience in the field of software testing
- Good knowledge of software testing methodologies and the SDLC
- Experience with test management and defect tracking tools (e.g., Jira, Xray, Zephyr, Azure DevOps)
- Basic knowledge of SQL
- Analytical mindset and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication skills and an open approach to people
- Ability to work in a team
- Willingness to take initiative and responsibility
- Good organizational skills and attention to detail
- ISTQB Foundation course or certificate is a desirable advantage (nice to have)
- Knowledge of REST & SOAP API testing with SoapUI, Postman, or another tool (nice to have)
- Experience with SAP / SAP testing (nice to have)
- Basic experience with test automation, especially with Tosca (Tricentis) (nice to have)
