About the role

  • Analyze requirements and business scenarios/user stories, providing feedback to Business Analysts and requesting clarifications on gaps or discrepancies
  • Create test scenarios and test cases, including test data and expected results, based on documentation available in German
  • Map test cases to project requirements
  • Execute designed tests, record actual results, and compare them to expected results
  • Maintain test scenarios during process changes
  • Log defects during testing and perform root cause analysis when needed in cooperation with the development team and BAs, including participation in triage meetings
  • Re-test defect fixes
  • Support users during UAT
  • Participate in meetings with end customers and present solutions (demos)

Requirements

  • Effective communication in German (B2/C1)
  • English minimum B1
  • At least 2 years of documented experience in the field of software testing
  • Good knowledge of software testing methodologies and the SDLC
  • Experience with test management and defect tracking tools (e.g., Jira, Xray, Zephyr, Azure DevOps)
  • Basic knowledge of SQL
  • Analytical mindset and problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication skills and an open approach to people
  • Ability to work in a team
  • Willingness to take initiative and responsibility
  • Good organizational skills and attention to detail
  • ISTQB Foundation course or certificate is a desirable advantage (nice to have)
  • Knowledge of REST & SOAP API testing with SoapUI, Postman, or another tool (nice to have)
  • Experience with SAP / SAP testing (nice to have)
  • Basic experience with test automation, especially with Tosca (Tricentis) (nice to have)
