About the role
- Plan, execute, and finalize infrastructure and network projects according to strict deadlines and within budget.
- Coordinate the efforts of team members to deliver projects according to plan.
- Develop full-scale project plans and associated communication documents.
- Effectively communicate project expectations to team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion.
- Set and continually manage project expectations with team members and other stakeholders.
- Identify and resolve issues and conflicts within the project team.
- Plan and schedule project timelines and milestones using appropriate tools.
- Track project milestones and deliverables.
- Develop and deliver progress reports, proposals, requirements documentation, and presentations.
- Proactively manage changes in project scope, identify potential crises, and devise contingency plans.
Requirements
- Proven experience in project management, specifically with infrastructure and network projects.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex information to a diverse range of stakeholders.
- Knowledge of the Texas DIR (Department of Information Resources) account and related procedures.
- Familiarity with MSI (Managed Services Integration) tools and processes, demonstrating a strong understanding of the operational and technical requirements.
- Adept at conducting research into project-related issues and products.
- Able to learn, understand, and apply new technologies.
- Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
- Experience working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
