About the role
- Operational maintenance (O&M) of storage infrastructures
- Management of documentation and technical incidents (diagnosis, ownership and resolution)
- Management of minor and medium changes
- Expertise and problem resolution; escalation/routing to competency centers
- Technical support for application O&M leads and project teams
- Technical studies and proposals for improvements
- Integration and technical production rollouts (e.g., applying patches during a production deployment)
- Dashboards and reporting; and performance management
- Analysis of root causes for infrastructure unavailability and recurring issues in the production technical stack
- Development of action plans and maintenance recommendations for the technical stack
- In the event of an incident, perform necessary diagnostics and corrective actions.
Requirements
- 5 years of experience in storage
- Knowledge of HITACHI storage systems (HUSVM, G5500, G370)
- Proficiency with replication systems
- Knowledge of Solaris operating systems to act as a systems engineer
- Ability to communicate knowledge clearly and pedagogically
