About the role
- Ensure infrastructure meets performance, availability and security requirements
- Install, configure and optimize data servers and Linux environments
- Perform operability tests and deploy new components to improve performance
- Maintain development, integration, testing, pre-production and production environments
- Write deployment documentation and operational runbooks
- Implement and maintain a continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipeline
- Participate in rewriting client applications in Java and PostgreSQL
- Contribute to deploying a DevOps-style CI/CD pipeline on a private/internal cloud
- Collaborate with project teams and participate in cross-team sharing of Agile and DevOps expertise
- Keep up-to-date with technologies and contribute to continuous improvement
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree (or equivalent)
- Proven experience in Agile and DevOps environments
- Strong knowledge of systems programming, cloud architecture, networking, Linux, security, databases and scripting
- Proficiency with technologies and tools: OpenStack, Terraform, Ansible, Git/GitLab, Jenkins, Prometheus, Grafana, PostgreSQL, Shell, Python, YAML
- Advanced understanding of architectural, operability and information security constraints
- Ability to work in a team, be available and responsive, possibly on-call
- Communication, writing, organizational and analytical skills
- Curiosity, active listening, proactivity and rigor
- Managerial skills are a plus
