About the role
- Develop and implement account growth strategies with a focus on digital transformation and innovation in the manufacturing environment.
- Build and maintain relationships at the CxO level and manage stakeholders across multiple decision-making layers.
- Own account plans including forecasting, pipeline management, and target setting across multiple business units and partner organizations.
- Identify and qualify new sales opportunities and promote cross-selling and up-selling opportunities.
- Consultative sales: articulate the value of technology solutions, determine customer investment priorities, and negotiate contracts to achieve optimal profitability.
- Balance short-term sales and revenue requirements while ensuring high-quality, sustainable business.
- Create stakeholder maps, develop engagement strategies, and coordinate additional business initiatives to drive further investment.
- Organize and run customer events and workshops to strengthen client relationships and uncover new business opportunities.
- Adopt sales community standards, act with a sense of urgency, and limit competitive threats.
- Analyze the client’s industry, end customers, and competitors to identify opportunities for innovation.
- Lead contract negotiations with customers to structure and close advantageous agreements.
- Gather and evaluate customer feedback to continuously improve the solutions and services offered.
- Work closely with client partners, portfolio, delivery and bid teams to ensure excellent execution.
- Lead and coordinate across multiple internal teams.
Requirements
- University degree (e.g., Business, IT, Engineering) or equivalent qualification with many years of successful sales experience in digital solutions and transformation services within the manufacturing industry.
- Extensive sales experience and solution-oriented negotiation skills, including in an international context.
- Strong communication, negotiation and presentation skills, a compelling personality, and the ability to build relationships at decision-maker level.
- Up-to-date technical, industry and market knowledge, and an interest in IT trends and future technologies.
- Strategic and entrepreneurial thinking.
- Proactive, strategic and entrepreneurial mindset and approach.
- Demonstrated leadership skills and experience managing teams.
- Excellent industry and technology understanding in the manufacturing environment (Cloud, AI, Infrastructure, Security, etc.).
- Innovative mindset, creativity, customer focus and target orientation.
- High degree of personal responsibility and freedom to shape your role.
- Fluent German and English skills, both written and spoken.
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally.
