About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Design, implement, and scale the platform’s core backend systems and data pipelines
Lead end-to-end development of critical platform features
Ensure quality, performance, and scalability of platform features
Define architecture and standards for identity management, security solutions, and third-party API integrations
Champion reliability engineering, DevOps, and infrastructure-as-code best practices across the engineering team
Collaborate with product, design, and data teams to shape the platform
Collaborate with experienced engineers on full-stack development across backend and frontend technologies
Perform hands-on technical work and high-level problem-solving

Requirements

What you’ll need

8+ years of experience as a software engineer
Proven track record of leading complex projects end-to-end
Expertise in system architecture and designing scalable, reliable software solutions
Strong backend foundation in Node.js, Python, JavaScript, or similar
Proficiency in modern cloud technologies such as AWS or similar
Experience implementing secure systems and handling sensitive data
Experience integrating identity verification
Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution
Experience building and shipping scalable software
Bonus: experience automating complex processes such as eligibility checks or fraud detection
Bonus: experience building systems handling large volumes of sensitive data with a privacy/security focus
Bonus: experience integrating identity verification features such as facial recognition or document verification
