Key responsibilities & impact

Support the PR function across day-to-day execution including media list building, outreach, press materials, and campaign execution
Research relevant journalists, editors, and outlets in business, tech, and startup media
Maintain and organize media lists in a shared tracker
Help segment lists by topic, beat, and campaign
Send pitches and follow-ups using pre-written messaging and templates
Track outreach activity and journalist responses
Assist in updating press releases, pitch templates, and briefing documents
Light writing support (not strategy creation)
Help coordinate media outreach around product launches and announcements
Support scheduling and logistics for PR campaigns
Maintain simple spreadsheets tracking outreach and coverage
Log responses, opens, and placements

Requirements

What you’ll need

0–2 years of experience in PR, communications, journalism, or marketing
Some exposure to media outreach, pitching, or content creation (internship, agency, or in-house)
Strong writing and editing skills
Comfortable working in Google Sheets / Docs and staying highly organized
Interest in startups, tech, or branding
Willingness to learn, take feedback, and execute consistently
Internship or assistant experience at a PR agency (Nice to Have)
Exposure to tech/startup clients (Nice to Have)
Familiarity with tools like Cision, MuckRack, or similar (Nice to Have)
Basic understanding of how journalists and press cycles work (Nice to Have)
Interest in AI, startups, or domain/branding space (Nice to Have)
