Key responsibilities & impact

Telecom Electrical Engineer designs, installs, and maintains the electrical and electronic infrastructure supporting voice, data, and video networks.
Develop electrical schematics, power distribution plans, and structural layouts for cell towers, data centers, switching stations, and fiber optic networks.
Drive the installation, managing, and maintenance of critical power equipment, including DC power systems, Uninterruptible Power Supplies (UPS), and generator types.
Engineer resilient power distribution systems, DC plants, UPS configurations, and backup generation.
Drive the integration of renewable energy sources into remote cell sites.
Research, evaluate, and prototype emerging technologies.
Run diagnostic tests on signal strength, latency, and bandwidth to minimize lag and prevent outages.
Ensure all equipment complies with federal telecommunications and electrical safety regulations.
Identify root causes of electrical or signal faults and implement infrastructure upgrades.

Requirements

What you’ll need

3-5+ years in Electrical Engineering or other related field.
Associates or Bachelor's degree in Telecommunications Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a closely related discipline.
Experience with transformers, generators, and circuit breakers.
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to interpret complex data and diagnostic tools to optimize network performance.
Proven ability to evaluate and adopt emerging technologies, challenge conventional methodologies, and identify new opportunities for infrastructure optimization.
Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
Knowledge of industry standards and regulations.
Experience with project management and budgeting.
Ability to conduct feasibility studies and cost-benefit analyses.
Proficiency in technical report writing.
Experience with system simulations and modeling.
Ability to perform site inspections and assessments.
Commitment to safety and reliability.
Experience with renewable energy systems is a plus.
Strong computer skills, including MS Office.
