About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Manages requests and inquiries received by e-mail and other communication channels, organizing and prioritizing responses according to the criticality of each situation;
Manages the finance team's personnel, overseeing vacation approvals, overtime control and ensuring compliance with internal policies and efficient allocation of human resources;
Conducts alignment meetings and individual feedback sessions with the team, implementing adjustments to task routines to improve efficiency and compliance with established procedures. Provides support for daily routine tasks and for new activities that require higher technical knowledge, ensuring correct and efficient execution of tasks;
Ensures the health and efficiency of the company's financial operations, making sure resources are used strategically and in compliance with rules and regulations;
Plans and controls cash flow, aiming to optimize resource utilization, prevent deficits and reduce financial costs. Also works on structuring related-party contracts to ensure tax and regulatory compliance, in addition to managing financial amortizations, interest and supporting capitalization of group companies;
Maps and protects against financial and market risks, such as price variations of commodities (nickel, copper, platinum, gold, palladium, cobalt and silver) and exchange rates, using hedging instruments like NDFs and swaps to provide predictability and protect the company's results;
Ensures regulatory compliance with the Central Bank of Brazil, performing registrations and updates in the SCE-ID system, and controls international remittances, capital injections and loans, ensuring fulfillment of legal obligations;
Supports negotiation of credit lines, guarantees and fees, and opens and manages bank accounts, maintaining close relationships with financial institutions to support funding operations, M&A and other strategic needs;
Maps risks, procures and renews insurance policies (such as general liability, D&O, environmental and transportation), manages claims and analyzes costs to optimize the insurance portfolio;
Coordinates supplier payment flows, bank reconciliations, FX closings and month-end closings, in addition to preparing cash flow for the budget and outlooks, providing audit support and assisting accounting with closing. Also responsible for tax payments, judicial payment slips and supporting HR in the payment of salaries, vacations and benefits;
Issues international invoices to foreign clients and maintains direct relationships with the respective commercial and finance teams, ensuring compliance of financial processes and efficient commercial communication;
Approves purchases for the finance area, monitors payment processes in general and participates in forums and presentations in English, contributing to communication and alignment with international stakeholders;
Oversees the trading/operations desk, executing quotes and closing foreign exchange operations, as well as related financial instruments such as ACC (advance on exchange contracts), export prepayments, collars, free transit arrangements and other derivatives;
Prepares a weekly report of the cash position and updated cash flow for the companies in Brazil, consolidating balances, projected flows and significant movements to support liquidity management, financial decision-making and payment planning;
Plays an essential role in interacting with other areas of the company, ensuring treasury and finance are aligned with business needs and contribute to the organization’s sustainable growth.

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Economics, Business Administration and/or Accounting;
Specialization in Corporate Finance, Financial Planning, Treasury and/or related areas is desirable;
Solid experience in Corporate Treasury and Financial Management in the mining sector;
Experience managing Accounts Payable teams and payment routines;
Experience preparing and managing short-, medium- and long-term cash flow forecasts;
Knowledge and experience with registrations and regulatory obligations before the Central Bank of Brazil;
Experience in relationships with financial institutions, negotiating credit lines, guarantees and banking products;
Experience managing foreign exchange operations for imports and exports;
Experience issuing, reviewing and managing international invoices;
Experience with financial instruments;
Experience with derivatives and hedge policies;
Experience managing claims and analyzing costs to optimize the insurance portfolio;
Fluent in English;
Advanced Spanish is desirable.
