About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Perform a broad range of point source noise analyses and documentation in compliance with applicable federal, state, and local regulations
  • Conduct noise modeling, data collection, and field investigations for industrial and infrastructure-related projects
  • Assess noise impacts to sensitive land uses for point source and transportation-related projects
  • Support project scoping, budgeting, scheduling, and task order execution
  • Provide project and contract management support, including client coordination and quality control
  • Serve as a trusted technical resource and primary point of contact for clients
  • Support business development efforts, including proposal development, scope definition, and marketing coordination
  • Mentor and support early-career Air & Noise staff, fostering technical growth and professional development
  • Contribute to strategic efforts to expand ATCSs point source noise services and market presence

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelors degree in Environmental Science, Civil Engineering, Planning, GIS, or a related field (Masters degree preferred)
  • Minimum of 5 years of professional experience performing noise analysis
  • Strong working knowledge of state and federal noise policies, including FHWA requirements
  • Demonstrated experience with SoundPLAN and/or CadnaA noise modeling software
  • Proficiency with ArcGIS, Microsoft Word, Excel, and related applications
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including technical report writing
  • Willingness to perform a combination of field and office-based work
