About the role
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive business glossary within the data catalog
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to define and standardize data terminology, business logic, and rules
- Establish and enforce data standards to ensure consistency across systems and processes
- Align technical metadata with business definitions for improved transparency and usability
- Manage metadata quality and ensure accurate documentation of data assets
- Facilitate communication between IT and business teams to support governance and compliance initiatives
- Provide guidance and training on data catalog usage and best practices
- Maintain and update detailed documentation for business glossary and metadata standards
- Organize workshops to align stakeholders on data definitions and business logic
- Monitor and improve metadata quality and completeness within the catalog
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in data management or governance, or data catalog management
- Familiarity with data governance processes and their implementation beneficial
- Good spoken and written language skills both in English and German
- Intercultural competences due to international cooperation
- Good communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills
- Documentation skills – able to clearly summarize and document processes and validation results
