About the role

  • High-level system administration: maintenance, operation, configuration, installation, and administration of Linux-based systems
  • Ensure high availability: guaranteeing high availability (including clusters) for systems and databases
  • Contribute to the administration and further development of existing PostgreSQL clusters

Requirements

  • Completed degree (university or university of applied sciences) in Computer Science or a related field with an IT focus, or an equivalent IT qualification with substantial professional experience
  • Solid knowledge and experience with Linux, clustering, and automation (e.g., Ansible)
  • Practical experience administering Linux-based systems
  • Ideally, initial experience with containerization (e.g., Docker) and virtualization (e.g., VMware)
  • Basic knowledge of PostgreSQL and the motivation to further develop these skills in a production environment
  • Independent, responsible working style and a high level of reliability
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills in interdisciplinary projects
  • Very good German and good English language skills, both written and spoken
