About the role

  • Establish an analysis methodology based on the safety classification of components and the applicable regulatory and standards environment (RCCM-Rx, Eurocodes, EN 13001, EN 13445, ASME, FEM, etc.).
  • Validate assumptions and results with development leads. Maintain a critical, independent perspective on the assumptions made.
  • Create and set up finite element models (meshing, boundary conditions, contacts, etc.).
  • Perform mechanical calculations under various static and dynamic loadings (temperatures, pressures, seismic events, environmental loads) using FEA or analytical methods.
  • Use these calculations to support and validate design assumptions for equipment (rotating machinery, handling equipment, steel structures, pressure equipment, anchors, etc.).
  • Post-process and analyze results. Where necessary, propose improvements or optimizations.
  • Prepare and write calculation reports.
  • Contribute to the preparation of technical proposals and estimate the associated workload.
  • Participate in mechanical design activities, which may include supervising one or more designers/drafters.
  • Propose and analyze technical options, potentially collaborating with external partners.
  • Verify models or studies during the execution phase in accordance with best practice and applicable regulations.
  • Contribute to the development of the calculations office by developing tools (VBA, Python, etc.).
  • Act as an advisor on reading and interpreting standards within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Perform piping flexibility calculations or fluid/CFD calculations depending on your skills.

Requirements

  • You hold an engineering degree (or equivalent) with a mechanical specialization.
  • You have at least 5 years' experience acquired in the energy industry, the naval sector, special machinery, or more generally with large, complex mechanical systems.
  • Experience in structural analysis is required; additional skills in vibration analysis, fluid dynamics/CFD, or piping flexibility calculations are a plus.
  • Proficiency with at least one commercial analysis software (Ansys, Abaqus, Robot, PipeStress, etc.) is mandatory; Ansys is preferred.
  • You are rigorous, proactive, versatile, autonomous, and recognized for your ability to work in a network with experts and to be a source of proposals.
  • Strong technical curiosity is essential.
  • Your interpersonal skills and analytical mindset will make the difference.
  • You have a good level of English, both spoken and written, to operate in an international context.
Benefits
  • Company culture based on collaboration, mutual help and support, fostering a positive and motivating work environment.
  • Flexibility and work–life balance through flexible working policies and employee support programs.
  • Opportunities for continuous professional development thanks to a company focused on learning and career-long training.
