About the role
- Lead the Shiplift Safety Justification Plan (SJP)
- Manage engineering inputs across all Ship lift programmes
- Guide Safety Case & Design Engineers
- Collaborate with stakeholders across the project lifecycle
- Promote safety, compliance, and best practices
- Strong engineering leadership in safety-critical environments
- Experience in safety case management and stakeholder engagement
- Knowledge of Design Authority responsibilities & standards

Requirements
- Degree in Engineering or a related field
- Chartered Engineer (or working towards it with solid CPD)
- Strong knowledge of nuclear regulatory compliance
- In-depth knowledge of Design Authority (DA) roles & nuclear safety cases
- Project engineering & site integration
- Technical assurance and compliance with industry legislation
- Authoring technical reports, specs, and queries
- Experience in regulated environments
- Stakeholder engagement across disciplines
- Basic H&S training for site work
- Mentoring and supervising engineers
- Organised, detail-oriented, with top-tier written & verbal communication
- Security clearance; Sole UK national required
