Key responsibilities & impact

You develop backend solutions within the team and reliably implement requirements into clean, maintainable code
You work closely with your team, share knowledge, and ensure high-quality, collective outcomes
You capture customer or backlog requirements and independently develop clear technical solution approaches
You design the architecture of reusable components to ensure software efficiency, structure, and scalability

Requirements

What you’ll need

You have several years of experience as a Java backend developer in software development
You are proficient in Java and Spring and have worked with Java 17 or newer
You write tests (unit/integration) to ensure the quality of your work
You work in a structured, quality-oriented manner — with clean code, clear documentation, and best practices
You take responsibility, make decisions, and do not work "blindly by specification"
You work openly and in a team-oriented way — with a culture that acknowledges mistakes, knowledge transfer, and shared responsibility
You have a basic understanding of AI/Machine Learning concepts or a strong interest in developing in this area
You speak German at least at B2 level
Additional plus: you work with DevOps tools and principles or want to develop in that area
You have experience with JPA/Hibernate in production use
You are comfortable with relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL)
You have experience with Kafka or event-streaming architectures
You bring experience from agile software teams (Scrum/Kanban)
