About the role
- You develop and test Java-based microservices (including REST APIs, Spring, Kafka) and/or JavaScript-based frontends (including Angular, Bootstrap)
- Together with your team and in close collaboration with the client, you are responsible for the build pipeline and the automated deployment of applications
- You contribute to the development of architecture and implementation concepts as well as interface designs
- You have the opportunity to actively help shape our partner’s newly established Cross Solution Center in Berlin and to try out your own ideas
Requirements
- Strong proficiency in Java and Spring for backend development, and TypeScript (Angular) for frontend development
- Ability to write well-structured, well-documented, and maintainable code
- Experience writing tests (especially unit tests), e.g., with JUnit, Mockito, or Selenium
- Experience working with databases (MS SQL, MySQL, PostgreSQL)
- Understanding of RESTful web services and JSON
- Confident use of CI/CD (e.g., Azure DevOps)
- Experience with Scrum
- Ability to quickly and systematically get up to speed on new topics
- High level of quality awareness and strong teamwork skills
- Flexibility and willingness to travel occasionally
- Good to very good German and English language skills, both written and spoken
