About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead all operations of the Industrial Doors Business Unit across assembly, distribution, manufacturing, and production locations.
  • Develop and execute an integrated operations strategy focused on cost, quality, flexibility, and customer satisfaction.
  • Lead manufacturing operations strategic planning and ensure operating and capital budgets support company goals.
  • Develop competitive manufacturing systems and safe, efficient production processes.
  • Direct and coordinate manufacturing of Industrial Door products according to engineering specifications, quality objectives, and forecasts.
  • Oversee product quality, equipment service, building and grounds maintenance, security, and safety.
  • Direct purchasing procedures for materials, equipment, supplies, and services.
  • Coordinate facility expansions, acquisitions, capital equipment installation, repairs, overhauls, and plant layout changes.
  • Review and approve capital and expense expenditures.
  • Drive innovation, new processes, technologies, and systems to improve business-unit performance and resource utilization.
  • Establish performance objectives and financial targets for margin, delivery, customer satisfaction, quality, cycle time, and inventory.
  • Collaborate with Sales and Marketing on sales and operations planning, capacity, supply, demand, and market strategies.
  • Partner with Finance, HR, IT, Sales, and Marketing to support performance and revenue growth.
  • Supervise employees, including interviewing, hiring, training, work assignment, performance appraisal, rewards, discipline, complaint handling, and problem resolution.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Operations Management, Supply Chain Management, or related Technical discipline.
  • 15+ years of progressively responsible experience in a manufacturing operations and/or supply chain environment.
  • Several years in a senior management role with significant business and operational impact.
  • Proven track record of streamlining or improving company operations and delivering results.
  • Demonstrated success leading a $100M+ product/business unit operation.
  • Full P&L experience highly preferred.
  • Demonstrated success growing Revenue and EBIT.
  • Prior experience leading multiple teams with multi-location/site responsibility preferred.
  • Industrial Doors experience is a plus.
  • Ability to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
  • Supervisory and personnel-management experience, including hiring, training, performance management, and conflict resolution.
  • Willingness to travel 11%-30%.
