About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Oversee production operations in the Door Department during the afternoon shift
- Lead teams to achieve safety, quality, efficiency, and on-time delivery goals
- Lead and support production teams to meet daily schedules and performance targets
- Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards
- Train, coach, and develop employees while promoting teamwork and engagement
- Monitor production metrics and drive continuous improvement initiatives
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support operational needs
- Identify opportunities to improve productivity, reduce waste, and control costs
- Support coverage for other supervisors when needed
- Complete special assignments as assigned
Requirements
What you’ll need- Post-secondary education in Manufacturing Engineering or a related field
- 4–6 years of manufacturing supervision or management experience
- Union environment experience preferred
- Lean manufacturing and process improvement experience
- Production scheduling and work planning experience
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
- CNC and metal-forming experience considered an asset
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and ERP systems
- Flexibility to work other shifts for coverage as required
