About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Analyze and evaluate embedded solution requirements
  • Collaborate with colleagues and customers to gather and define product requirements
  • Assist in product design and architecture development
  • Design, develop, and maintain embedded solutions
  • Facilitate and assist in task estimation
  • Work and communicate in a cross-functional team of firmware, electrical, mechanical, quality assurance, product, and customer support professionals
  • Investigate and analyze reported defects and resolve them in a timely manner
  • Provide status updates, raise issues, and communicate necessary information to team members
  • Prepare, present, and participate in technical discussions and code reviews
  • Contribute to processes, standards, and development practices that improve project efficiency and quality
  • Work with departments to improve products, processes, workflows, and customer experience
  • Recommend and assist with implementing new processes and tools
  • Consult with engineers to evaluate hardware interfaces, embedded solutions, and system requirements

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline, or equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience
  • 4–7+ years of related embedded firmware development experience, or equivalent professional experience
  • Experience with Agile methodologies
  • Knowledge of the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) desired
  • 4–7+ years of embedded device development using object-oriented programming in C/C++
  • Ability to effectively use oscilloscopes, analyzers, power supplies, and similar equipment
  • Embedded Linux experience is a plus
  • FPGA experience is a plus
  • Experience with USB and/or Ethernet devices is beneficial
  • Experience with DC and stepper motors is a major plus
  • Working knowledge of source code management and configuration
  • Strong understanding of development processes, principles, and objectives
  • Experience across the full development life cycle, including design, architecture, and implementation
  • Experience implementing security protocols and cryptographic techniques, and documenting system security aspects, highly desired
  • Proven analytical, planning, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills; ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Ability to learn and apply new skills and technologies quickly
  • Experience working in a highly collaborative and dynamic multi-team environment
  • Ability to perform troubleshooting and development work consistently and logically
  • Must be currently and legally authorized to reside and work in the hiring country
  • Immigration sponsorship is not available; international relocation or remote work outside the hiring country will not be considered
