About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Cultivate strategic relationships with architectural design team influencers and specifiers.
  • Identify and secure opportunities to prepare door and hardware specifications.
  • Provide timely and accurate product information for use in commercial project specifications.
  • Deliver targeted continuing educational programs highlighting new products, solutions, and design-assist professional services.
  • Assist with product substitution and approval procedures and follow up to ensure specifications are held in the bid process.
  • Utilize Salesforce.com as a customer relationship, project tracking and time management tool.
  • Serve as the point-of-contact for the architect's education, specification, client satisfaction and technical support needs.
  • Promote adoption of the Openings Studio BIM tool and present project proposals for value-added professional services.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • College/University degree preferred in architectural, design/engineering/drafting, construction science/management, business, or similar
  • 2-3 years industry related experience in architectural representation, specification writing, or Design-Build construction management can be considered in lieu of degree
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools
  • Utilization and maintenance of CRM tools for sales and activity reporting
  • Working knowledge of industry-related software is a plus
