About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Manage employee life-cycle processes (onboarding through offboarding)
  • Assist employees with benefit-related questions
  • Manage employee relations including investigations, progressive discipline, performance management and conflict resolution
  • Help develop and implement HR policies and procedures
  • Coordinate with safety personnel regarding workers’ compensation and leave administration
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment regulations
  • Support training and employee development initiatives
  • Mentor and train HR Assistants and junior personnel as appropriate

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field
  • At least five (5) years of HR experience demonstrating a progression of responsibility is required; manufacturing, industrial, and/or multi-location experience highly preferred
  • Comprehensive knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices; HR Certification is advantageous
  • Professional communication and interpersonal skills
  • Attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Computer proficiency using MS Office including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information professionally
  • Experience with Safety and/or Worker's Compensation claim management is preferred
