State and Local Tax Manager

About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Assist with the preparation, review, and filing of separate and combined state corporate income and franchise tax returns for multiple domestic legal entities through the utilization of OneSource tax software
- Assist with the preparation, review, and filing of quarterly state income tax estimates and extensions
- Assist with maintaining accurate state apportionment schedules
- Assist with the state tax provision computation
- Research various state and local tax matters pertaining to the business as well as assisting with the tracking of state tax law changes
- Assist in the resolution of state tax notices as well as interacting with various state tax authorities
- Assist with data gathering for various state income tax audit responses
- Provide additional support on corporate tax projects when needed.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Approximately 7 – 10 years’ experience in state income tax
- Bachelor’s and/or master’s degree in accounting
- Big 4 Experience Preferred
- CPA and/or MST Preferred
- OneSource Income Tax Experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong tax research skills, willingness to take initiative, and goal oriented
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
