About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Play a critical role in driving strategic growth by identifying, developing, and securing new business opportunities.
- Help translate customer needs into engineered solutions, collaborate cross-functionally with internal stakeholders, and act as a voice of the customer within the organization.
- Take ownership of a defined regional market and become the go-to expert for custom-engineered door and frame solutions, helping to shape project success from concept through completion.
- Develop and implement business development strategies targeting new and existing customers.
- Build, drive, and maintain strategic relationships that promote strong profitability and organic growth.
- Partner with internal teams to ensure proposals are accurate, competitive, and aligned with our capabilities.
- Facilitate educational, training, and product knowledge opportunities for internal and external customers.
- Develop or be able to clearly articulate an intimate understanding of Division 8.
- Conduct market research to identify trends, new markets, and competitive insights.
- Represent the company at trade shows, industry events, and customer visits to promote our capabilities and generate leads.
- Maintain accurate CRM records, pipeline reports, and performance metrics to track progress toward sales goals.
Requirements
What you’ll need- A bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Construction Management, Marketing, Business or a related field preferred or an equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience will also be considered.
- 5+ years of experience in business development, sales, or account management, preferably in a custom manufacturing or engineered-to-order environment.
- Strong understanding of building materials, construction cycles, and specification-driven sales.
- Demonstrated ability to open new doors, close strategic deals, and manage a technical sales process.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Proficiency with CRM systems and ability to analyze market data to inform strategy.
- Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time to support customer engagement and industry networking.
- Strong teamwork orientation, thriving in a collaborative environment that achieves both individual and collective goals.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize projects under tight time deadlines.
