About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Growing a territory by executing Door Security Solutions’ sales strategy
  • Developing and executing sales strategy for the territory in cooperation with the Director of Sales
  • Directing others on sales goals and activities
  • Interacting with and making sales calls to key decision makers and influencers in contract hardware arena including distributors, architects, general contractors, construction managers, and end users
  • Holding regular staff meetings
  • Building and maintaining a high-performance team by hiring staff, evaluating and coaching employee performance, supporting appropriate training and development methods, and team building
  • Communicating effectively with various decision makers and influencers
  • Developing short and long-term sales plans

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree (preference for specialization in related curricula such as: sales, business, architectural design/engineering, construction science/management, or similar)
  • Minimum of 5 years of industry-related experience
  • Minimum of 3 years calling into the contract distribution channel
  • Minimum 1 – 2 years in a managerial role with responsibility for directing staff
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools
  • Utilization and maintenance of CRM tools and other industry-related software for sales and activity reporting
