About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Maintain and reconcile inventory sub-ledgers, including raw materials, WIP, and finished goods
- Monitor, analyze, and report on manufacturing variances (material, labor, overhead)
- Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations and analysis
- Assist with month-end closing activities, including factory expense accruals
- Partner with plant management to analyze production results and identify cost improvement opportunities
- Ensure compliance with corporate policies, GAAP, and internal control requirements
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required
- 0–3 years of accounting experience; manufacturing or cost accounting experience preferred
- Strong understanding of GAAP and cost accounting principles
- Proficient in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Dynamics, or similar)
- Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, v-lookups, data analysis)
