About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Design, implement, and oversee test plans, procedures, and environments for hardware and finished product.
  • Conduct various types of testing (e.g., functional, performance, regression, integration).
  • Analyze and interpret test results, troubleshoot issues, and recommend corrective actions.
  • Ensure compliance with internal quality standards and industry regulations.
  • Ensure compliance with Testing Lab certifications.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (engineering, manufacturing, quality assurance) to optimize testing strategies.
  • Drive continuous improvement with/for the Test and Evaluation Department.
  • Serve as the primary liaison with regulatory agencies to ensure that all test and evaluation activities meet applicable compliance standards and product certification requirements.
  • Lead and manage a team of test technicians and junior engineers.
  • Provide coaching, mentorship, and performance feedback.
  • Schedule and allocate resources to meet testing deadlines and production goals.
  • Maintain and upgrade test cells and equipment to support efficient operations.
  • Participate in hiring, training, and development of team members.
  • Make day-to-day decisions within the department and contribute to strategic planning.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, or related field.
  • Three to five years of experience in testing or quality assurance, with at least 1–2 years in a supervisory role.
  • LEAN/6 Sigma Certification – Green Belt desired.
  • Proficiency in MS Office
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as complex drawings, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals in English.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondences in English.
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small/large group situations and speak effectively before groups of customers, suppliers or employees within the organization.
  • Proficiency in testing tools and equipment.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and technical writing skills.
  • Experience with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) (IDEC).
  • Experience designing and building testing fixtures.
  • Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies is a plus.
  • Must have good communication and organizational skills and be attentive to detail.
