Door Support Operations Manager

About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Manage daily support operations by assigning resources, supporting manufacturing teams, and removing barriers to performance.
- Be a visible leader on the shop floor, promoting safety, engagement, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Promote a safety-first culture, including stopping work when unsafe conditions or quality concerns are identified.
- Lead participation in daily start-up meetings, safety talks, and operational priorities.
- Drive engagement through the CHIP Program, PEER Program, and GEMBA communication boards.
- Maintain a consistent shop floor presence to support employees and operations.
- Plan and adjust manpower assignments to meet production schedules and labor goals.
- Schedule vacations and holidays in alignment with operational needs and manage timekeeping documentation.
- Train, onboard, coach, and motivate employees to drive engagement and performance.
- Provide performance feedback, recognition, and corrective action in line with company policy.
- Identify and help implement process improvements impacting safety, quality, and efficiency.
- Support departmental and company-wide goals through tracking and reporting as needed.
- Monitor material inventory levels within assigned areas.
- Communicate and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Perform special assignments and other duties as assigned.
- Maintain adherence to all corporate Environmental Health and Safety Policies and Procedures.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Post–high school education preferred
- Supervisory or lead experience in a manufacturing or operations environment preferred
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement principles
- Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills
- Ability to manage priorities in a fast-paced production environment
- Basic computer proficiency
- Flexibility to work hours as required by operational needs.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-based environment.
