About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Administer and maintain inventory control procedures to ensure accurate inventory records across the organization.
- Investigate and resolve negative inventory quantities in collaboration with Production, Purchasing, and Accounting.
- Research, process, and communicate required inventory adjustments to the Production floor.
- Analyze inventory variances and discrepancies, identify root causes, and recommend corrective actions.
- Reconcile part variances and inventory discrepancies to maintain system accuracy.
- Monitor, analyze, and report excess, obsolete, and aged inventory.
- Assist with the planning, execution, and administration of cycle count activities.
- Analyze cycle count results, document variances, and communicate findings to management.
- Support the preparation and execution of physical inventory counts and analyze post-count variances.
- Lead and participate in cross-functional problem-solving efforts related to inventory accuracy and material flow.
Requirements
What you’ll need- High School Diploma or GED required; associate’s degree or some college coursework preferred.
- 1–3 years of experience in Inventory Control, Manufacturing, or a related function.
- Experience working with inventory systems (ERP/MRP) and inventory transactions preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to process data quickly, accurately, and efficiently.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and critical thinking skills with the ability to work independently.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Continuous learner with a focus on adaptability and process improvement.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to support cross-functional collaboration.
- Ability to lift up to 45 lbs. unassisted with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Ability to stand and/or walk for extended periods (8–12 hours per shift).
